Policies & Additional Charges

Check-In / Check-out:

Vista Court Cabins & Lodge operates as a cabin rental facility and tries to operate as automated as possible. We do not have a fully staffed front desk. Our virtual office is available by phone call or text us during our virtual office hours at 719.395.6557.

Check-in starts at 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time is by 10:00 a.m.

A code will be texted to you on the day of check-in to the cell phone number you provided for your reservation. This code is your access code for your accommodation. This code will not open any other door on the property. Please verify you have provided an accurate cell phone number on your reservation. Your door code will NOT work if you have not completed your digital registration.

To give rooms the proper attention required for the next guest, all guests must check-out by 10:00 on the day of departure. After 10:00 a.m., late check out fees could be charged at the management’s discretion

We do have a limited number of 2-hour early check-in and late check-outs for a fee. Please contact us about availability and pricing.

• Payment in full is required prior to checking in. We accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Parking:

• Cabins: 1 to 2 parking spots next to cabin depending of vehicle size
• Lodge Rooms: 1 to 2 parking spots per lodge room in parking lots a short walk to the lodge
• Cottages: 2 to 3 parking spots next to cottage
• Additional street parking is available around the property; please inquire in the office for location
• NO Bicycles allowed in any accommodation, please be sure to bring a bike lock

Smoking and/or Vaping:

Vista Court Cabins & Lodge prohibits smoking, vaping, and the use of illegal drugs, in Lodge Rooms, and Cottages. Tobacco and e-cigarette smoking areas are provided outside in designated locations only. Non-compliance will result in a minimum $250 cleaning charge and amount of loss of revenue.  Smoking or vaping in a non-designated area, guest may be asked to leave.

Maid Service:

This is a cabin rental, not a hotel/motel so you will be running your trash to the dumpster (assistance available if needed), and cleaning your own dishes.  We do towel exchanges when requested and sheet changes with a cabin refresh for longer stays.  If something happens and you need a clean up or assistance, please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Pets/Dogs:

• Well-mannered dogs are welcome for an additional nightly fee of $35 per dog – 2-pet limit in most cabins and cottages, and a 1-pet limit in some lodge rooms and cabin 3.  Not all accommodations allow pets. If you are booking on an OTA (Online Travel Agent) such as Booking.com or Priceline.com, reservations do not allow dogs. You may be turned away if arriving with a dog booking on a OTA.
• If a dog or any other animal enters your accommodation, even for “one minute”, you will be charged the full pet fee for all days of the stay.
• If you do not disclose pets staying in your cabin you will be charged pet fee for all nights of your stay.
• If you have more than the maximum number of dogs allowed in any accommodation, you will be charged 2x the pet fee for the overage plus the normal pet fee.
• No other type of animal is allowed. No cats, lizards, snails, etc…
• Any unauthorized animal in any unit or dog in a pet free room will be charged a minimum of $250 plus tax.
• Any overage in dogs or not allowed species you may be asked to leave without refund of any money.

Rules:

1. Dogs must be declared at time of reservation. NO dogs allowed when booking with an OTA (Online Travel Agent).
2. Only well behaved dogs that don’t feel the need to make themselves heard or play on the furniture or bed may be left in units unattended. Any and all damage will be charged to the card on record.
3. Please take your dogs to the provided dog relief area shown on the site map.  Always clean up after your dog. (We have dog poop bags and disposal can in the dog relief area.)
4. Always keep your dog on a leash when outside.
5. NO puppies, dogs under 1 years of age.
6. Use your own pillows or blankets for your dog’s bedding. (We do have a Puppy Sheet in each unit.)  The sheet is to help prevent the transfer of dog hair from you to the sofa, not for the dog to get on the furniture or bedding.
7. You MUST KEEP all dogs off all furniture, all bedding and windowsills. An extra cleaning fee of $75 per hour may be accessed plus a fee for any damages incurred to the unit.
8. Weight limit of 85 pounds per dog.
9. Any dog in a pet free room, the fee starts at $250 plus tax.

Quiet time:

• Out of respect for our guests and neighbors, Vista Court Cabins & Lodge enforces a “quiet-time policy” from 9:00pm to 8:00am. Guests who do not observe the policy may be asked to leave, and the cost of the cabin and deposit will not be refunded.

Fires/Open Flames/Sparklers:

• Candles, sparklers, and/or incense, are NOT permitted anywhere on our property.
• All campfires to be contained in the provided fire pits. NO charcoal in firepits.
• All open park style grills and firepits must be supervised while being used.

Additional Charges:

In the unfortunate event that guest(s) cause damage to the cabin, furnishings, décor, linens, appliances, etc., or leave the premises in such a state that additional measures, such as extra cleaning, trash pickup, carpet or upholstery cleaning, etc., must be performed, the guest will be notified via email with an invoice of all charges within 7 days of check out. The credit card on file will be charged upon discovery of damage. Photos will also be made available upon request in writing. As always, we strive to keep an open line of communication with our guests.

Lost Keys and Key Chain: for any lost, damaged, or non-returned key or key chain a $30 fee will be assessed and charged.

Prior to Checkout:

1. Wash dishes in cabins and cottages and clean up any spills in units.
2. Check for personal belongings, we are not responsible for any lost or damaged items left in the cabins.
3. Gather up trash and place inside the dumpster in the northwest corner of the property. Please ask for assistance if needed.
4. Please return key (if applicable) to the main office and place it in the drop box next to the right of the office door.

Facility Usage:

The courtyard, equipment, and property at Vista Court Cabins & Lodge is reserved for the use and enjoyment of our registered guests staying on site. Off site guests may visit you in your cabin and on your porch.  Any large events or gatherings must be approved with the management of Vista Court Cabins & Lodge prior to stay and a site rental contract, use fee, and insurance may be required. Dogs not staying with registered guests are not allowed on site or in any accommodation at any time.
